flow (commonly known as Lumpur Lapindo) is the result of an erupting mud volcano from
Bakrie’s company activity. It happens in the sub district of Porong, Sidoarjo in East Java,
The researcher found that this mud is indicated to contain super rare metals aka Rare Earth
Metals (LTJ) or rare earth elements. Surprisingly, the pile of lumpur lapindo became an island
that can be developed to be a tourisme choice for holiday.
The Sidoarjo mudflow, also known as “Lusi,”. Lusi island has a potential that has yet to be
discovered.In Lusi island we can enjoy the sunset, mangrove restoration, riding speedboat and
other fun activities.This 93.4 hectares island also grabbed the award as the second most
popular destination in Indonesia at the Anugerah Pesona Indonesia (API) Award last November
2019.
