Many young people who enter higher education choose to study in their hometown and
continue living with their parents throughout their university year.There are many reasons why
someone might want to remain with their parents, mostly private reasons, but now we will look
at some universal advantages and disadvantages of studying in your hometown and not moving
out.
One of the most reasons why students stay at home while studying is the amount of the
money that can be saved.If you prefer not to live with your parents, you will probably have to
pay for an apartment or even a car, which could be too expensive for your budget. However,
some students are offered an affordable price for accommodation, but you should be very lucky
for that.Also,moving out and starting from zero can be very stressful for you. Yes,maybe if you
leave alone you get more privacy and freedom,but at the end of the day many teenagers have
plenty of freedom, despite living with their parents and studying at the same time.Moving out
might be a challenge for you, but from the other perspective it’s maybe better to feel from an
early age what it is like to be independent and how to take care of yourself.You maybe want to
move out to bigger place with bigger opportunities and meet new people in order to secure
your future.
However, there are plenty advantages and disadvantages of moving out, мaybe you will
miss your parents, maybe your home, your friends. The first few years may be difficult, but in
time you will get used to it. But still you need to think very carefully, because it is about your
future.
