Long term administrative controls that the manager could suggest to experienced worker could be as
following;

1. There must be training sessions arranged for all workers, and drivers to brief them about health
and safety measures in recycling and reusing company so that there competence level is
improved and no accidents occur in the future.
2. Emergency drills must be carried out and arranged to make our workers use to the practices
carried out in case of emergency.
3. Standard procedure needs to be developed for assisting both public and industrial vehicles in
depositing the wastes in skips.
4. The Health and safety policy of the recycling and reusing company also needs to be reviewed
and updated as it has last been signed 6 years ago by the previous manager in 2015.
5. Supervision of each activity needs to be carried out especially during unloading of the waste
vehicles.
6. Number of workers also need to be increased so that a worker is all the time available for
assisting members of public and other clients during deposition of waste.
7. Safety sign boards must be installed at different locations and especially near the parking and
skips area.
8. Procedures outlined in the policy needs to be practically implemented as the workers have also
complained about this thing.
9. Risk assessment needs to be reviewed and updated including the new risks in it as the current
documents are old.
10. Culture of reporting the near miss incidents needs to be improved as the experienced worker
told that such type of incidents have occurred in the past also and there is nothing to worry
about it.
