As a future educator, I will be the one who gave advice to my students so that they cannot
got married at the very young age. And I will be a good role model to them.

Nowadays many teens got married at the very young age because they follow what they
feel. Like my classmate when I was in senior high school, she got married with his boyfriend at
the age of seventeen. They had only one child, and she said that it’s not easy to have a husband
and child because it’s hard to manage time.

Dodong didn’t do anything to warn or even gave advice to his son Blas about how hard
the life is. This scenario help me realized that how powerful a word especially a word coming
from a father in terms of giving advice to his son about facing the world. I am thankful enough
that my father is not like Dodong who just watch his son decide on his own. My father is there
with me when I am feeling down. He protected me with his power.

My perspective doesn’t change because it’s all about the teens that got married at the
very young age and they don’t think it what happen in their future. They don’t also think that
they should study first before they got married because it’s better for their future. And they don’t
think how hard having a family.

The text touch me because at the very young age of Dodong he got married to Teang and
he can’t think it in a million times before he make a decision for himself. He can’t think all the
sacrifices of his parents.

The text is really relevant today because there are many students to marry with their love
ones as they feel. When you want to marry with your love ones you think it carefully so that you
can’t regret at the end of day. It empathized the situation of a Filipino person and it is appeal for
us because we are at the poverty line. Marrying is not easy because it’s hard to face it today.

I would like to recommend to others it’s because I want to share with them so that they
can think it properly what they did for their future. And I want to advise them to finish their
studies before they got married so that all the sacrifices of their parents can’t spoil. Don’t make
decision that can your life become complicated at the very young age.
