our 70's VW Beetle convertibles!
Our knowledgable guides will take you for a memorable drive from the blue coasts of Split to
the top of the famous Klis fortress, all while telling you the stories of the intriguing history of
all of the stops.
And with the stylish Beetle as your chosen form of transportation, rest assured that you and

1) PICK UP POINT: Obala kneza Branimira (an alternative pick up point can be arranged with
our guides with prior notice)
2) POLJUD STADIUM- get to know Split's pride and glory, popularly known as 'the Poljud
beauty'. The stadium is the home ground for the football club Hajduk, which for many locals
makes up for one of the most important bastions of their identity and their tradition.
Recently recognized as a part of Croatian cultural heritage, this shell-shaped architectural
wonder will surely leave you in awe.
3) SOLIN- St. Mary’s Church at Our Lady's Isle- On an islet on Jadro river we will find our
next stop- one of the most important archeological locations in Croatia and what is
presumed to be one of the first settlements of Croats in this region. With the green grass
field encircling the local parish, Our Lady's Isle is an attraction for both tourists and locals
alike.
4)SOLIN- Gašpina watermill- What was once a complex of 15 watermills, Gašpina mlinica is
now one of the only functioning mills on Jadro river and a stronghold of a traditional way of
life and a craft that is slowly disappearing. Get to know the prowess of the millers in the
recently renovated watermill, whose work made Solin one of the most important
agricultural and social centers for centuries.
5) KLIS FORTRESS and the SINJ RERA*- On our way to the fortress, our Beetle will take you
down a road following the Sinj rera, a legendary railroad that connected Split with the
nearby town of Sinj, made famous by the modern day explorer Jurica Galić Juka. Along the
road you will witness the magnificent Vetma bridge with its breathtaking views, as well as
many relics that bear witness to Croatia's history, starting from the Austro-hungarian empire
all the way to SFR Yugoslavia. The road will take us directly into the heart of Klis, whose
fortress is best known today as a filming spot for the world renowned show Game of
Thrones. Placed on a steep cliff above Split, the fortess watches over the city with its
imposing stature, and, much like the Mother of Dragons, fiercely protected its people for
centuries. Walk the streets of Meereen with us and find out more about the real history
behind one of the most famous TV backdrops nowadays.

6) SPLIT- On our way back, we will make one more stop at the panoramic viewpoint next to a
small town of Rupotine, to make sure you can get some of the best shots of Split as a cherry
on top of a great day!
