Opening Prayer

Let us put ourselves in the presence of God.

Loving heavenly Father, creator of all things, true source of light and
wisdom, we heartily acknowledge your holy presence in our lives. We praise you
for your faithfulness, your grace, and your guidance.

Lord God, we are truly sorry for all our shortcomings. Please forgive our
trespasses and lead us away from unrighteousness. Make us worthy of your
mercy and forgiveness.

Father, we thank you for sending us your holy and life-giving Spirit to guide
us in our walk in life. We thank you for the unconditional love and generosity. We
are grateful, Lord, for this opportunity to celebrate the English Language Arts.

Lord, we ask for your holy presence as we have our closing program this
afternoon. May you be in our midst through the entire affair. Remind us to be
humble and grateful, Father, for all the blessings you have showered upon us. We
ask that you strengthen us, restore us and inspire us with your love.

We bring back to You all honor, glory, and praise. These we ask in the
precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
