Good morning and greetings to all of us First of all, let us pray together to give thanks to the
presence of God Almighty who has given his grace so that we can meet in good health. On this
occasion I will deliver a short speech about the department of "health analyst"

Health Analyst is a profession that works in health facilities that carry out inspection,
measurement, determination, and testing services on materials derived from humans or
materials not derived from humans to determine the type of disease, the cause of the disease,
health conditions or factors that can effect on individual and public health. Meanwhile, according
to KEPMENKES RI NUMBER 370/MENKES/SK/III/200, Health Analysts or also called Health
Laboratory Technologists are health workers and high-skilled scientists who carry out and
evaluate laboratory procedures by utilizing various resources.

This health facility is in the form of a Health Laboratory such as the Clinical Pathology Laboratory
that examines samples in the form of human body fluids such as blood, sputum, faeces, urine,
cerebro spinal fluid (brain fluid), and others to obtain data or results as a diagnosis of a disease.
The scope is also broad including examination of microbiology (bacteria), parasitology (fungi,
protozoa, helminths), hematology (blood cells and plasma), immunology (antigens, antibodies),
clinical chemistry (hormones, enzymes, glucose, lipids, proteins, electrolytes). , etc). In Indonesia,
it is more often known as Health Analyst, while the international world uses the term Health
Laboratory Technologist.

lecturers. There are Health Analysts who work at the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory who
examine samples in the form of surgical tissue (histopathology). In addition, many also work in
the food and beverage industry, medicine and cosmetics because the teaching curriculum
includes courses in Analytical Chemistry, Food and Beverage Chemistry, and Toxicology.
