1. What is DRRM in the Philippines?

-they are the one who is responsible to plan, implement, coordinate and monitor the activities
related to the disaster risk reduction, education in emergencies and for the climate change.

2. What are the common problems in disaster management?

- Debris cleanup and waste management solutions

- Property damage

- Loss of utilities like electricity and water

- Hazardous waste

- Infrastructure-related problems such as closed roads and communication losses

3. What are the roles of youth in disaster risk reduction and management?
- First is they should focus on themselves first. Make sure that they will not panic at the time
of the disaster. They can also help by contributing ideas and actions during disasters. The
youth can also help by making a family planning for future so that they can be prepared.

Reflection about Disaster Risk Reduction and Management

My understanding about Disaster Risk is for us people to be educated and be prepared when the disaster
occurs. Disaster Risk's purpose is to give information to people on what to do when disaster happens such
as Duck, Cover and Hold when earthquake happens. Disaster Risk Reduction and Management gives
knowledge to people about why disaster is happening such as earthquake, tsunami, Volcanic eruption,
flashfloods and landslide and etc. They explain these disasters for us people to understand how is it
happening so that we can be properly prepared for a specific disaster. After watching our webinar, I realize
that how dangerous these kinds of activities. To be prepare, I should start planning on what to do during
and after the disaster happens because you will never know where and when the disaster happens. I also
appreciate the DRRM team because they giver their best to help the civilians and protect our city from
disasters, they were also prepared even the covid happens.
