Aspergillus niger
Rationale: Tecoma stans also know as yellow bell, yellow elder, trumpet flower in
English and Piliya in hindi. Tecoma stans is an important medicinal plant. The leaves,
bark and roots contains biologically active chemicals, and extracts from those tissues are
in use as traditional folk medicines. Tecoma stans is a herbal medicine used for treatment
of diabetes, digestive problems, control of yeast infections, as powerful diuretic,
vermifuge and tonic. Preliminary phytochemical screening of this plant revealed the
presence of tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, quinones and traces of saponins and amino
acids.
Aspergillus niger is a fungus and one of the most common species of the genus
Aspergillus. It causes a disease called "black mold" on certain fruits and vegetables such
as grapes, apricots, onions, and peanuts, and is a common contaminant of food.

1. Yellow bell (Tecoma stans) is not effective in killing Aspergillus Niger.
2. If the researcher use Tecoma stans the Aspegillus niger will not kill the
bacteria.
