STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (DENSITY BATH)

1. Make sure that the Viscosity bath is filled with Silicon Oil/Water up to
5mm below the top.
2. Switch on the Tempering bath.
3. Set the temperature of bath and wait till the temperature is reached and
stabilized.
4. If not going below 20 Deg C then turn the chiller ON (Chiller can be filled
with water or Ethylene glycol)
5. Prepare the sample and pour into the measuring cylinders.
6. Keep the Tempering bath On and wait for sample temperature to et
stable with Thermometer.
7. Drop the Hydrometer into the sample very carefully.
8. Wait until the temperature is stable and note down the reading carefully.
9. Check and read from the meniscus of the sample and report.
Discard the sample carefully.
10.Clean the Measuring Cylinders tubes with toluene or reagents.
