Dismantling

1. Remove the bearing race for the lower main gear. Use suitable puller.

2. Remove the bearing for the oil pump gear. Use suitable puller.

3. Remove the O–ring for the cylinder for the differential lock control.

4. Blow the oil ducts clean with compressed air.

5. Clean and inspect the dismantled parts for damage and wear. Change parts as needed.

Assembling

6. Cool the bearing race for the lower main gear and the bearing for the oil pump's gear shaft to a temperature not lower than
-20 °C (-4 °F).

7. Install the bearing for the oil pump's gear.


Tap down the bearing against the shoulder. Use11667001 Handle and 11667060 Drift plate.

8. Install the bearing race for the lower main gear.


Tap down the bearing race against the shoulder. Use 11667001 Handle and 11667140 Drift plate.

9. Install the O–ring for the cylinder for the differential lock control. Smear vaseline on the O–ring.
