Public Disclosure of Assets, Income, Perks and Privileges The Women’s Action Forum has invoked Article 19A of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Right to Information laws to seek the following information from, amongst others, Judges of the Supreme Court. Income and Income Tax Paid for Previous Three Years Tax Year: Income Tax Paid: 2018 Rs. 15,113,972 Rs, 2,200,916 2019 Rs. 17,145,972 Rs. 1,792,007 2020 Rs. 21,237,921 Rs. 2,678,799 Personal Assets Properties (1) 800 square yards residential plot in Phase 2 of Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, which I bought when I was practicing law and on which I built a house to live in. (2) 800 square yards residential open plot in Phase 2 of Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, which I bought when I was practicing law. (3) 200 yards commercial plot in Phase 5, Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, which I bought when I was practicing law. (4) Inherited from my father, the late Qazi Mohammad Isa, half-share in a plot situated in Ziarat, Balochistan, next to the Quaid’s Residency, a sizeable portion of which has been illegally encroached by the government. (5) Old house on one kanal plot in Block B, Phase 1, Defence Housing Authority, Lahore, which is rented out; which was bought from the partial utilization of the sale proceeds of my share in 2 acres house and land, situated at 2 Lytton Road, Quetta City, which was sold Money in Bank Accounts: (1) Rupee accounts: Rs.41,330,856 (2) Foreign currency accounts, equivalent in rupees: Rs.4,114,137 Vehicles: (1) Honda Accord, (2) Honda Civie and (3) Mini Jeep. Official Perks and Privileges (1) An official residence in Islamabad, which is rent and utilities free. (2) 2 servants (helpers) provided by the government. (3) One cook. (4) Part-time gardener and cleaners. (5) Honda Civic 2017 model and 2015 models with up to 600 litres of petrol (6) Free medical treatment at approved hospitals. Perks and Other Benefits Offered but not Availed Plots: Neither as Judge of the Supreme Court nor as Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court did I apply for a plot. However, I was offered but declined the offer. Prohibited Bore Weapons: The Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan vide S.R.0.(1]/2019 dated 21 August 2019 offered, amongst others, to the Judges of the Supreme Court and of the High Courts prohibited bore weapons. I responded by my letter dated 14 September 2019 declining the said offer. My letter also stated, that, ‘The Ministry of Interior/Government appears to be implementing two sets of rules in the country thereby undermining the concept of the rule of law. There is considerable doubt as to whether the Notification meets constitutional criteria. The Notification also appears to erode the laws governing arms. And, what moral authority will the Government exercise in tackling the spread of weapons by encouraging the spread of more lethal, prohibited bore weapons? Pension and Postretirement Benefits Pension amount: Determined on the basis of years of service. Personnel: One driver and one orderly. A police guard at residence. Utilities: 300 free local calls, 2000 units of electricity, 25 HM of gas, water and 300 litres of petrol per month If the above are availed then have ‘to provide free work of arbitration involving Government interest without charging fee’ Car: Official car in use can be purchased at depreciated value. Medical: 20% medical allowance. Wife My wife, Mrs. Sarina Isa, is not my dependent and files her own income tax returns in the United Kingdom and in Pakistan. I requested her and she agreed to voluntarily disclose the information attached herewith. Justice Qazi Faez Isa Judge Supreme Court. Voluntary Public Disclosure My husband, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, has informed me that the Women’s Action Forum has sought information about my income, income tax paid and assets. | am not my husband's dependent and am not obliged to make such disclosure but do so voluntarily to encourage Public servants, constitutional office holders, special assistants to the Prime Minister and their respective spouses to do so too. The information mentioned below accords with my filings under the income tax laws. (2) Plot in Shah Latif Town, Karachi which has been illegally encroached upon. (3) No. 50, Coniston Court, W2, London, measuring 45 square meters, bought in 2003 for £236,000, which is in my and my daughter's joint names. (4) 90 Adelaide Road, E10, London, measuring 83 square meters, bought in 2013 for £270,000, which is in my and my daughter's joint names. (5) 40 Oakdale Road, E11, London, measuring 65 square meters, bought in 2013 for £245,000, which is in my and my son’s joint names. Savings Certificates issued by Government of Pakistan: Rs.21,650,000 Money in Bank Accounts: (1) Rupee accounts: Rs. 15,292,530 (2) Foreign currency accounts, equivalent in rupees: Rs. 25,763,734 Children | have two children. My daughter is 33 years old, is married, has three children and is living in Pakistan. For complete disclosure | may add that my father, Abdul Haque Khoso, passed away recently but as yet | do not know what I've inherited from him since I've not had the opportunity to leave Islamabad to go to Karachi, Jacobabad and Naseerabad.
