D. COMMON CONCERNS OF THE STUDENTS


a. Online Class
 Students finds it hard to finish the bulk/load of activities sent by different teachers
 Students cannot comprehend well the online lessons and activities sent by teachers
 Most of the student were not able to send their Outputs due to unstable internet
connectivity at home ( there is difficulty in meeting the deadlines)
 It is difficult for the students to finish requirements which requires them to as watch
videos, view pictures, download PDF files and Gmail by using mobile data alone/
because of very limited mobile data.
 Real Time discussion is difficult/not possible for many of the students because of
unstable internet connectivity / lack of mobile data/no connection at all
 Required Online search is difficult/not possible for some student due to limited mobile
data
 Some teaches are not sending lecture notes
 Students find it hard to participate in an online group activities due to connection
problem

b. Internet Connectivity
 Majority of the students are only using mobile data in the conduct of online search,
participation in real time discussion /activities, submission of outputs, etc.
 Most of the students are experiencing unstable and interrupted internet connection
 Just to find more stable connection, there are students who are forced to go out of their
houses
 In some area, the online application they can connect with are only Facebook and
Messenger

c. Financial Concerns
Many students has very limited budget to buy mobile load for an online activities. There
are some of them who are reluctant to ask money from their parents because basic needs are
their priority as of now.

d. Resources/materials
 Students has a very limited/no school supplies at home to be use in finishing their
requirements
 Students has very limited references at home, some of them even left their learning
materials in their boarding houses
 Many student has no personal laptop
 There are students who just borrow cell phone to be able to update themselves, get
online lessons, participate in real time discussion etc.
 No loading stations available in some locations

e. Concerns of graduating students


 Afraid of not graduating on time
 Concerns with unfinished thesis due to unavailability of materials, difficulty in
communicating with advisers, panels and group members
 Worried about the effect of disrupted actual contact with teacher on Board Exam
 Completion of OJT/internship
 Sadness over the possibility of having no physical graduation

f. Self-management related concerns and worries


 Lack of Motivation and self-discipline in doing online activities in the comfort of
their homes
 There are many students who are thinking that they might fail subjects for non-
submission of outputs
 Parents who cannot understand them why they need to constantly use the cell
phone and buy mobile data/load
 Achievers/scholars who cannot submit requirements and was not able to make
good outputs are worried about academic standing, that they might not be able to
achieved the required average
 Worried about health and safety
 Students who have family are afraid of how they can now earn income for their
children
 Stressed/pressured over the loads of online activities provided by the different
teachers
 Concerned about family members who are currently in differently places under
ECQ
 Experiencing sadness, boredom, anxiety, sleeplessness, overthinking etc.

E. Assistance provided by the Team


Majority of the students viewed that
a. Calling them helped identify and clarify their immediate needs
b. Team were able to give updates on the current semester's
guidelines/issuances/pronouncement
c. Team were able to give basic information on stress, coping, and time management
d. May students were thankful of the online support program
