Racial segregation in
South Africa existed
decades before it was
officially consolidated
thanks to the Apartheid
laws, established in
1948.
The South African population
was strictly registered within
one of the four fundamental
racial groups, (White, Black,
Colored, Asian) which would
later become the pillar of
Apartheid.
As time passed,
Apartheid was divided into
Petty and Grand Apartheid
