REPEAT EXAMINATIONS(ODD-SEMESTER), JANUARY-2022

1. The Repeat Examinations (Odd-Semester), January-2022 for the Batches of 2020, 2021,
2022, 2023 and 2024 students of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree
Programmes for the Academic Year 2021-2022 is scheduled January 2022 as per the schedule
given below.
2. The Repeat Examination conducted for 70 Marks & 50 Marks.
(i) The Repeat Examination 70 marks for who have appeared in previous Repeat
Examinations for 70 marks.
(ii) The Repeat Examinations 50 marks for the current (Academic year 2021-2022)
Odd Semester Courses (i.e. V Semester, VII Semester and IX Semester). Who
have arrears in the current Odd semester courses; they are appearing in this
Repeat Examination for 50 Marks.
3. Students can download the application for the Repeat Examinations (Odd-Semester), January-
2022 with this schedule.
4. The last date for receipt of the filled–in applications is 20.01.2022 along with payment of
Rs. 1,000/- per course through the mode of demand draft (drawn in favour of “The Registrar,
TNNLU”, payable at Tiruchirappalli) or a proof of the online payment transaction (to be paid
under Examination)A/C No, 30030110017616 of UCO Bank, IFSC Code: UCBA0003003,
TNNLS Branch). The filled in applications must reach “The Examination Department, Tamil
Nadu National Law University, Navalurkuttapattu, Dindigul Main Road, Tiruchirappalli –
620 027”. The Examination Department cannot be held responsible for the delay in receipt of
applications.
5. Examination fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances or adjusted against
future examinations.

Note:
1. Online Open Book Examination will be conducted following TNNLU ONLINE
REMOTE NON-INVIGILATED OPEN BOOK EXAMINATION
REGULATION -2020. (Annexure -1)
2. All the Repeat Examinations (Odd-Semester), January 2022 will be held in the
Afternoon between 2.00 p.m. and 5.15 p.m. The question paper will be uploaded
the Google Class Room at 2.00 p.m. on the day of examination.

ANNEXURE – I
TNNLU ONLINE REMOTE NON-INVIGILATED
OPEN BOOK EXAMINATION REGULATIONS – 2020
1. The Question Paper for the Repeat (Odd-Semester) Examinations will be uploaded
through ‘Google Classroom’ created for that purpose.
2. The question paper of the Examination will be uploaded at 2.00 p.m. on the day of
examination.
3. All students appearing for the examination MUST download the question paper
and Honour Pledge Code. The entry in Honour Pledge Code will be considered for
attendance purposes along with the submitted answer script within the prescribed
time.
4. Duration of the Exam shall be
a. 3 hours and 15 minutes for REPEAT EXAMINATIONS;
For differently-abled students’ additional minutes will be provided as hereunder
b. 60 minutes for REPEAT EXAMINATIONS;
5. All students are instructed to write his/her Name, Registration Number, Course
Name, Course Code, Date of the Examination, and Total Number of Pages
Written on the First Page of the A4 Sheet without fail as specified in the
Annexure-2
6. All students are strictly instructed to write the answer only on the SINGLE
side/page of the A4 sheet.
7. All the written answer sheets MUST contain page numbers and students’
signatures at the end of every page.
8. All the students are strictly instructed to write the answers in the A4 sheet legibly
and upload the scanned answer sheet in a readable format without any blurring. If
the uploaded answer script appears blurred or non-readable then such answer
script(s) will not be considered for evaluation.
9. All the written answer sheets should be scanned and it shall be uploaded as a
SINGLE PDF format comprising of all pages in proper alignment.
10. The PDF file MUST have Registration Number and Course Code and the same
MUST be submitted to the Google Classroom created by the University. The
answer script shall be submitted on or before the scheduled time notified by the
Exam Department. Attendance will be marked ONLY to the students who have
uploaded his/her answer sheet within the time notified.
11. All students are strictly instructed to keep the SOFT COPY of the written answer
scripts for all the future official references and the hardcopy of Answer Scripts
by post or courier to the University at the end of their respective
Examinations. No students’ results will be declared without the submission of
original answer scripts (Hard Copy) written by the student at the notified date
and time of the Examination.
12. All students shall duly fill in the Undertaking Form (Annexure -3). Importantly,
the hard copy of the Answer Script shall be sent to the University along with the
Undertaking Form and a failure to do so disqualifies the answer scripts from
evaluation.
13. No students’ answer scripts will be assessed and evaluated only based on the
SOFT copy or HARD copy. Both soft and hard copies of the written answer
script will be evaluated by the concerned course faculty. Any variation between
the submitted hard copy and a soft copy will be considered as ‘Exam
Malpractice’ and such answer scripts shall not be evaluated.
14. Cheating, acting dishonestly, and/or collusion in an examination is a serious
disciplinary offense that may result in disciplinary actions, with the most severe
penalty being debarred from appearing in subsequent examinations.
15. Every student SHALL submit their own original work, without any help from
others. Only the differently-abled students who are permitted to use ‘Scribe’
exempted from the above. All submitted answer scripts may subject to extensive
use of plagiarism checkers and the University reserve the right to conduct any
viva-voce/enquiry/investigation to check students’ understanding of the examined
material.
16. For open book exams, student integrity and honesty are non-negotiable. All
students shall strictly adhere to the honour code throughout the exam and violation
of the same will be viewed as ‘Exam Malpractice’.
17. Students are required to confirm as part of each submission by strictly adhering to
the ‘Honour Code Pledge’ that the work they are submitting for the open-book
examination is entirely their own work, except where otherwise indicated and that
they have not copied from the work of any other candidate during the examination.
18. Students are permitted to refer to their own course and revision notes; and access
offline or online resources, for example, textbooks or online journals. However,
the Students shall write answers in their own words and not reproduce verbatim
sentences or excerpts from the references.
19. Unless otherwise specified, the relevant/necessary provisions of the Examination
Rules will be applicable for the ONLINE REMOTE NON-INVIGILATED OPEN
BOOK EXAMINATION.
20. No Proctored/Invigilation will be done by any staff of TNNLU during the exam.
21. Any Examination Malpractice during the ONLINE OPEN BOOK Examination
will be viewed seriously and subject to strict disciplinary action. In the context of
open-book remote-based non-invigilated examinations, accessing the question
paper via any other means than directly, via the designated online platform, and/or
sharing the question paper with other students, falls within it’s the ambit of
cheating and of acting dishonestly.
22. The University reserves the right to use any software applications, such as
Turnitin, to screen submitted work for matches either to electronic sources or to
other submitted work.

This Circular is issued on the directions of the Vice-Chancellor.

and are indeed original. Further, I undertake to promptly upload the soft copy of my
Original Handwritten Answer script(s) onto the Google Classroom besides ensuring
that a hard copy of the said Answer script(s) along with the duly filled Undertaking
Form are punctually posted/couriered to the Examination Department of TNNLU as
per the Circular(s) of the University in this matter. And, I have diligently ensured that
the legible forms of both the hard and soft copies of my Answer Script(s) are
submitted to the University and they are one and the same. Thus, there is no
discrepancy in them. Finally, I understand that a breach on my part to do as required
herein would constitute for violation of the Examination Rules set by the University
for the Repeat Examinations and consequently, I shall be liable to face the disciplinary
proceeding(s) that may be instituted by TNNLU in this regard.
