As part of CSEC requirement for integrated science the researcher is required to create a planning and

designing lab (PD). The researcher chose this topic because it was a simple experiment to carry out. The
researcher learnt that both water and oxygen are needed for rusting. The researcher benefits from this
experiment by gaining knowledge on rusting, the school benefits from this experiment by witnessing
rusting, The community benefits from this experiment by knowing how to avoid rusting. The researcher
had to challenge completing this experiment.
