Welcome to Adobe® Photoshop® CS and ImageReady® CS

Please take a minute to read this important information.

For information on system requirements, installing, and launching Photoshop and
ImageReady, please read the HowToInstall file located in the same folder as this ReadMe
file.

After you install Photoshop, please refer to the Photoshop CS ReadMe file located in the
Photoshop application folder. The ReadMe file contains important last-minute
information. You may want to print it and keep it with your manuals for reference.

For your convenience, a PDF version of the User Guide and Quick Reference Card are
included with Photoshop.

For an in-depth overview of new features in Photoshop and ImageReady, please see the
New Feature Highlights.pdf in the Support and Registration folder. In the same folder,
the At A Glance.pdf is a brief, two-page overview of new features.

ADOBE® READER® 6.0

Adobe Reader software lets you view and print Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
You can install the Adobe Reader 6.0 software by double-clicking the reader installer in
the Adobe Reader 6.0 folder.

GOODIES
Don’t pass by the Goodies folder without having a look inside! This folder contains a
variety of useful items including textures, color swatches, channel mixer presets, printer
drivers, optional plug-ins and extensions.

STOCK ART (not available on Educational or ESD versions)

50 professional stock photographs are included for your use in the Stock Art folder
located inside the Goodies folder. You may preview thumbnails of these images in
Photoshop’s enhanced File Browser. The use of these images is governed by the Adobe
Photoshop End User License Agreement. To use the stock art files, open them from
within Photoshop. These files have been saved using JPEG compression at the highest
quality. To preserve maximum image quality, save them in Photoshop format. Repeated
compression using JPEG can degrade image quality.
