What’s new

Portable Stand-Alone Viewing

With version 1.3 of JetStream Viewer we announced the ability to operate as a stand-alone Viewer (no
connection to a licensed JetStream ProjectVault required). With version 1.3.2, JetStream Viewer can
now operate as a stand-alone portable viewer. This no-install, portable version is a fully-functional
version of JetStream Viewer. It and accessible point cloud data can both sit on and run off a simple USB
thumb drive or external drive with no compromise to JetStream’s high-performance and compression.

1. Create a JetStream Viewer File

Project data must be exported from JetStream ProjectVault as a JetStream Viewer file (.jsv) for
offline use.

 This functionality requires JetStream 1.3 or newer with Enterprise license

i. Go to the Project Manager tab in the JetStream Administration Tool

ii. Select the project you wish to export
iii. Click Export JetStreamViewer File

2. Copy Files to USB Thumbdrive

Downloaded and copy the following files to the USB thumbdrive to allow JetStream Viewer to
function as a portable viewer on the USB thumbdrive.

i. Download the JetStream Viewer package (ZIP file) here:

https://scanswfs.leica-geosystems.com/dl/b5klv143O3
ii. Unzip the package
 The package contains all dependencies required to run JetStream Viewer as a
portable application (no installation).
iii. Copy the entire JetStreamViewer folder onto the USB thumbdrive
iv. Navigate to your exported *.jsv file and copy it onto the thumbdrive

3. Open JetStream Project Data

With JetStream Viewer on the USB thumbdrive, you can now load your *.jsv file in your new
portable JetStream Viewer.

Leica JetStream Viewer Compatibility and Upgrades

Licensing JetStream Viewer

For full support of all JetStream Viewer features, JetStream Viewer 1.3.2 will need to connect to
JetStream ProjectVault. Ten (10) instances of JetStream Viewer can run concurrently for every
one (1) connector, and will not consume the Connector.

For Example – If JetStream has two (2) Connector licenses, it will allow 20 Viewer instances
AND two (2) CloudWorx users to connect concurrently.

Compatibility with JetStream Viewer 1.3.2 and JetStream ProjectVault

JetStream Viewer 1.3.2 is compatible with JetStream ProjectVault 1.3 and newer for connected
mode to access all features.

Disconnected (Stand-Alone) Mode

JetStream Viewer 1.3.2 can be installed and used without connecting to a JetStream
ProjectVault server, thus not requiring a ProjectVault license. The free, stand-alone Viewer can
open/read JetStream Viewer (JSV) files. JSV files are exported from JetStream ProjectVault
Admin utility (Enterprise license only).

The disconnected mode does not support access to saved User Coordinate Systems (UCS) nor
saved limite boxes, slices, and clips. This project information is stored and managed by the
JetStream ProjectVault.
