Review of the Related Literature

Dear Students

You are required to send assignments on your approved/ revised topics for research. This
assignment must include previous revised and improved assignments as well. Your assignment
must clearly state your research topic, statement of problem, objectives of the research and
hypotheses/ research questions.

This assignment particularly requires writing relevant literature on the topic.

Literature review is the systematic account of what has already been researched and published on the
topic at hand. It basically complies the existing level of knowledge about the subject under study. It
sets the stage for the study and provides rationale for supporting or refusing the results of your study.

You are also required to cite (give reference) of at least 5 books and 5 research articles. Please
make sure that you cite recent literature i.e. after 2010. The researches that you quote in your
literature should be published after 2010.

The procedure of literature review is that we search researches related to our topic on internet
and in books/journals/libraries/repositories. On internet you can find many research journals that
have in them many research articles. You have to find relevant articles with your topic and then
see what were the findings in those articles, what methodology was used by those researchers,
and what recommendations they have given. Through literature review, we find gap in what has
been researched and what needs to be researched.

Follow headings, sub-headings and paragraphs in the literature and it should be in the running
form. It should NOT be in the format that you give title of one research first, write its summary
and then go the second article and continued. INSTEAD, it should be written in a running format
and sequence to make a complete sense.

Your literature review must be around 25-40 pages.
