Interview Etiquette for Panels

Today a good candidate experience is critical to our recruiting efforts and business
units .We are closely monitoring candidate experience through candidate net
promoter score (CNPS).

Thus we strive to provide the best candidate experience with flipkart and request our
interview panel to engage in initiatives to actively impact here.

HMs: Request you to connect with all the panels once you open the requisitions and
help them with all right expectations and take them through below best practices to
follow.

Some Do’s and best practices to follow during interview process

Interview Etiquette

For Panel
•Join the interview call at-least 5 mins before & review the resume/background and
know if you are a Shadow/Reverse Shadow Panel
•Don't Forget to Turn on Your Video" in case of a Hangout and "Make sure that your
face is lit up with ample amount of light"
•Do reach out to the talent team if the candidate is not available on the provided link

Interview Invites
•When you receive an Interview invite - Please acknowledge at the earliest
•If you are declining the invite, please suggest an alternate panel/schedule and help the
talent team to continue the interview process in time (Kindly avoid last minute
declines)

During the interview
•Introduce yourself - Experience, tenure & team at Flipkart
•Ask for a brief intro about the candidate to make them comfortable
•Explain the problem statement in detail and ask them if they have any clarifying
questions and detail about the expectations of the round
•Try and complete the interview process within the assigned duration
•Do not use the same questions multiple times - Keep changing the questions
•Have your meal before or after the interview, not during the interview. The candidate
might feel uncomfortable
•Align the interview questions based on the competencies tagged
•Please give ample amount of time for the candidate to answer the question, do listen
to them attentively

Post Interview
•Provide detailed telephonic interview feedback within 24 hrs and onsite/hangouts
feedback within 48 hours. In case if you see any challenge w.r.t Zwayam tool
downtime/ link issue etc then please provide the detailed feedback with the rating to
the Talent team on email
•If you have any recommendations for Upscale/Downscale please provide the same in
the feedback
•Do not land up in Halo bias, Similarity attraction bias, Affinity bias, Conformity bias
during the interview/debrief.
•Provide independent feedback and do not discuss with other panels before submitting
the feedback. Pros & Cons can be discussed in the debrief.
