Business Analyst – Insurance Domain

Job Description

Work Location: Mumbai


Notice Period: 15 days – 30 days
Work Mode: Work from office

Must have: B.Sc. IT / BE / B Tech / MCA / M.Sc IT with good academic record

Experience:

Overall: 3 to 6 years of experience in Insurance domain especially Health Insurance.

Roles & Responsibilities


· Should be GOOD at Requirements Gathering, BRD, FRD, USE CASES, UAT etc.,
· Basis knowledge in SQL queries and SCRIPTING is ADDED PLUS
· Gathering requirements and documenting in detail
· Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-IT and
functional information to IT.
· High level of flexibility and ability to adapt to the requirements.
· Ability to make quick and informed decisions.
· Proficiency attained in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
· Proficiency in Insurance, Knowledge on Insurance domain especially Health Insurance will
be preferred.
· Knowledge of at least one Core insurance Systems will be added advantage.
· Responsible for collecting all in- scope business requirements.
· Able to prioritize requirements and negotiate on deployment timeframes on behalf of the
development team.
· Ability to perform detailed analysis to ensure all aspects of the business requirements is
understood.
· Able to formalize business requirements, ready for two way communication business
communications up and technical communications down.
· Responsible for detailed solution review from functional point of view, mentoring and
coaching development teams for make them understand about the functionality to be
developed.
· Providing necessary support to the development team in planning.
· Capable of managing all non- technical aspects of the new requirements.
· Capable of working with the test team to develop/ review test scripts.
· Review of test scenarios and test cases to ensure functional coverage of solution
implementation.
· Users training and UAT support for delivered functionality.
· Should be strong in stake holder’s management.
· Software Change Requests to requirements, enhancements and defects and to be able to
do impact analysis for change request implementation.
· Takes ownership of business requirements and issues in the overall context of the
processes of a relevant insurance organization.
· Experience understanding customer requirements and writing user stories, refinement,
backlog prioritization etc.
· Ability to work in high pressure environment and dynamic prioritizations.
