Common phrases for indirect questions:


* Do you know ...?
* Do you have any idea...?
* Is there any chance...?
* Could you tell me ...?
* I was wondering...
* I'd like to know...
* Would it be possible...?

If direct questions contains verb to be, when converting it to an indirect question


the verb "TO BE" goes after the subject.

What are you doing? Could you tell me what you are doing?

Where is the bank? Do you have any idea where the bank is?

What time does the bank open? Do you have any idea what time the bank opens?

Do you like Television? I'd like to know IF you like Tv.

Did you like the movie we saw yesterday?.


Camila wants to know if you liked the movie we saw yesterday.

Where were you yesterday?


Your mother asked you where you were yesterday?
