2. Liseberg är en nöjespark i Göteborg. Den öppnade redan 1923 och är en av

Skandinaviens mest populära nöjesparker. Cirka 3 miljoner människor besöker parken
varje år, och med sina 260 hektar är det den största nöjesparken i regionen. Tidskriften
Forbes rankade den till och med bland de tio bästa nöjesparkerna i världen 2005.

3. Om du bestämmer dig för att besöka Liseberg, kom ihåg att det endast är öppet under
sommaren och under november och december. Ett fåtal karuseller är öppna under julen,
men under den tiden finns en otrolig julmarknad. Om du besöker marknaden har du

5. Det finns också en uppsjö av musikalisk underhållning att njuta av på Liseberg. Stora
namn inom den svenska musikscenen som ABBA, Birgit Nilsson och Zarah Leander har
uppträtt där. Bland utländska artiser finns Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, The Rolling Stones,
The Beach Boys och The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

2. Liseberg Amusement Park is a theme park in Gothenburg, Sweden. It dates all the way
back to 1923 and is one of the most popular theme parks in all of Scandinavia. About
three million people visit the park each year, and at 260 acres, it is the largest
amusement park in the region. Forbes magazine even listed it among the top ten theme
parks in the world in 2005.

3. If you decide to visit the park, keep in mind that it is open only during the summer and
November and December. There are fewer rides during the Christmas season, although
there is an incredible Christmas market open during this time. If you go to the park for the
market, you'll have the chance to sample some Swedish delicacies like reindeer and
mulled wine.

4. In all, the park boasts thirty-four different rides and attractions. The park also holds the
Rondo, a large dance hall, and a hotel. Visitors will also be entranced by the remarkable
gardens there, most notably Liseberg's Lustgard, their newest garden attraction. If you
love anything to do with celebrities, you'll also enjoy seeing Honor Place, which is a
collection of large impressions of the hands of celebrities. There are so many
impressions there that they no longer have room to display all of them, so the celebrities
whose impressions appear at any given time will change as they rotate through.

5. There is also a plethora of musical entertainment to take in at Liseberg Park. In the past,
big names in the Swedish music industry like ABBA, Birgit Nilsson, and Zarah Leander
have performed there. Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys,
and The Jimi Hendrix Experience are also counted among the list of well-known artists
who have performed there.

A Park Called Liseberg

Liseberg fick sitt namn från den ursprungliga markägaren Johan Anders Lambergs hustru. I
mitten av 1800-talet han kallade det för "Lisas berg", som så småningom blev till Liseberg.
Göteborgs stad köpte marken i början av 1900-talet, och stadsfullmäktiga köpte parken 1924.
Nästan varje år öppnas en ny attraktion i parken, så det finns nästan alltid något nytt att se.
Parken kan ibland uppvisa tecken på viss extravagans. Till exempel släpptes mer än 15 000

Liseberg Park got its name from the wife of the original landowner, Johan Anders Lamberg. In
the mid-eighteenth century he named it "Lisa's Mountain," which was eventually shorted to
Liseberg. Gothenburg City bought the land in the early part of the twentieth century, and the
city council purchased the park in 1924. Almost every year, a new ride or attraction opens at
the park, so today there is almost always something new to see there. The park operators are
quite given to extravagance. For example, more than 15,000 roses were dropped from a
helicopter over the park in honor of the opening ceremony of the Princess Birgitta flower
exhibit.
