PASSWORD REMOVAL TOOL

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

1. Do not power ON the password protected drive

2. Locate the password IC in MCTC-MCB, 3000+/1000+/100+ products
3. Use the SMD clip tool and mount it properly in password IC, placement of clip tool
will be given clearly in tool(Top side of clip will be labelled in clip)
4. After correct placement of SMD clip between Tool and motherboard, Switch on the
Password Removal Tool
5. On successful power ON, LED’s will roll to identify tool is powered up
6. Then press PRG button for four times until you identify PRG LED powered up
7. Press on ERASE button to clear the password of necessary motherboard
8. After clicking ERASE, ‘OK’ LED will starts to flash indicating erasing process is ongoing
9. Following some time ‘OK’ Led will go constant and it says ERASE function completed
10. If SMD clip not properly placed on mother board, ER LED(Red Led) will glow
indicating it to properly mount the clip again
11. Succeeding step 9 Password removal process completed and now you can turn ON
the drive and check it
12. Power up the drive, keypad will directly enters to drive parameters F0, F1, F2…etc.
Now you can set your own three level passwords as required
