Structure and Function of the Cell

Cell is the smallest unit of organization is the basis of life in the


biological sense. All the function of life are organized and take
place in the cell. Cell structure and function almost similar to all
organism, but the evolutionary path taken by each of the major
groups of organism and its own neculiarities .
Cell size is limited by a cell's surface area to volume ratio. A
smaller cell is more effective and transporting materials,
including waste products, than a larger cell. Cells come in many
different shapes. A cell's function is determined, in part, by its
shape
