Chapter 1
Summary of Around the Word in Eighty Days
This story begins in October 1872, Phileas Fogg lived
alone, he had no relatives, nobody knew him, with polite
customs, and whit punctual assistance in the
ReformanClub ,where he spent most of the day, he
arrived at his house at midnight , that day Phileas Fogg
hired his new servant Juan Picaporte ,an honest man,
who was not servant before ,he was a physical
education teacher and a music teacher, his nickname
was for, his ability to get out of trouble in difficult
situations, picaporte has already heard about Mr.
Phileas Fogg who had a quiet life and who wanted to
lead a similar life, because Picaporte didn´t have a
quiet life, and think that a good idea will be set the job.
