GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT (LOCAL GOVERNMENT- Ill BRANCH) Notification Dated, the Chandigarh: 02.07.2020 No. 02/07/2012-1LG3(P:F}/1794 In continuation of Notification no. 02/07/2012-4LG3(P:F}/2018 dated 27.11.2019, Notification no. 02/07/2012- 41G3(P:F)/949/1-2 dated 26.2.2020, Notification no. 02/07/2012-4LG3(P:F}/1235 dated 23.3.2020 and Notification no, 02/07/2012-4LG3(P:F)/1433-1435 dated 18.05.2020 by which One Time Settlement policy regarding house tax and property tax was issued, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 71 of the Punjab Municipal Act, 1911 (Punjab Act no. 3 of 1911), section 157 of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976 ( Punjab Act No. 42 of 1976 ), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf , the Governor of Punjab is pleased to extend the date in the previous notification upto 31.07.2020 with the following conditions : (ii) Persons who have failed to deposit the house tax or property tax, as the case may be, may deposit the principal amount in lump-sum with the rebate at the rate of ten percent of the amount by 31.07.2020. {iv) Persons who fail to deposit the house tax or property tax, as the case may be, by 31.07.2020, may deposit the principal amount along with penalty at the rate of ten percent thereafter, within the period of the next three months. 2. The persons, who still fail to deposit the due amount as above, within the period and the manner specified above, shall be liable to pay a penalty at the rate of twenty percent on the amount due along with interest at the rate of eighteen percent from the date it became due till the date of its realization.
