Total station Field Survey:

We are the student of Pabna University of Science and Technology ,

Department of Geography and Environment, session ( ) have made
a total station field survey at the independent square of PUST on 10-02-
2020
We have used theodolite and a prism for the survey. The process is
conducted by the wave movement analysis. The theodolite gives the
reading of the distance and different angles at the different points.

Area Calculation of Total Area Measurement:

We placed the total station instruments at three different points –A, B,

C and got three different distances and angels. The theodolite machine
gives us the reading of different points through the reflection of light
from Theodolite to the prism.
Integrating the 3points A, B, C. We have gotten the area calculation by
the machine

Total Area calculation = A+B+C

Total calculation off any area = Horizontal distance of every point and
vertical distance of every point.

Offset Distance:

We have also set up theodolite for getting the vertical distance at a

point of the Administration Building, PUST.
