Hello!

We are Henrique, Leonor, Íris and Beatriz. We are in the 9th grade.

1 e 2. Our school is Seixal, a region near Lisbon the capital

3. As you can see our country is by the sea.

4. This is the city of Seixal with the Tagus river.

5. As you can see we have a beautiful bay.

6. Não dizer nada.

7. Sometimes we can see flamingos , seagulls and herons.

8. Crossing our river there are traditional sailing boats. Nowadays they
are only for tourism.

9. In this bay there are sailing and canoeing activities all year long.

10.This tide mill doesn’t work anymore. It’s a museum. A long time ago it
was here that bread was made to feed our sailors in the 16th century,
when they went to Africa, America and India.

11. We have a Cultural Forum with a great Public Library and an


Exhibition Room. It has a vast and great cultural agenda.

12. In 1975 there was an important revolution, called “25 de abril”.


Since then we have a democracy. The carnation is the symbol of this
revolution because instead of bullets there were carnations on the top of
the guns. Every year people celebrate this date.

13. This is our school Dr. A. A.Louro. It’s head school of six schools. We
have about 2 thousand students aged from 4 to 18.

14. This is the entrance of our school.


15. Our school has about 800 students, 87 teachers and 30 school staff.

19. In our library there is the Patron’s corner – he was a pharmacist, a

Hi! We are going to show you a film about our country.

Portugal is a very nice country with warm people and wonderful


landscapes.

The Atlantic Ocean bathes a large part of the Portuguese territory so we


are a people that love the sea.

Our towns and villages are quite typical and different according to
eachregion as well as the historical and religious monuments, festivals
and cuisine.

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal is amazing not only because of its


beautiful monuments but also its arts, landscapes and music.

We are sports fans and love music, art and science.

We are quite sure that you’ll be delighted when you visit Portugal.
