The Gio GRX40

Hi everyone! I'm happy with you guys for coming back again to my blog. I just want to share out
about what is the most valuable thing for me. Of course, my electric guitar. The Ibanez Gio
GRX40. I remember buying it in middle 2018, this is my second guitar after my acoustic guitar.
I started playing the guitar when I was around 12/13 years old. In the beginning, I used my
dad’s old 6 string, Yamaha acoustic guitar that was, and still is, older than me! My dad played
the guitar every now and again and subsequently my brother started to play electric guitar. I
decided I would pick it up and just start learning by myself.
My guitar color is called Tri Fade Burst. It has a maple neck, poplar body, and fretboard made
from New Zealand pine with a white dot inlay.

I usually play my guitar three or four times a week. I will spend my time at least 1-2 hours once I
play guitar. I'm not an expert in playing the guitar but I like to practice the techniques, do
structured improvisations, and jam around with scales and melodies.
The special things on my guitar are the Tremolo and Pickup. I changed the original type 106
tremolo with Floyd Rose Pats up and down tremolo. For the Pickup, I changed the whole
original Pickup which has only 3 pickups with the Humbucker Pickup Set which has 4 pickups
My guitar is also equipped with an effect pedal and a custom-made amplifier. Start with the
effect pedal, this effect pedal is my favorite one among the other's effects I have. My effect
pedal is the product of Nux, type Overdrive. It has three control knobs. The three control knobs
are for Level, Drive, and Tone with a True Bypass switch located below them. The knobs are a
little fast and flimsy, but the rest of the pedal enclosure feels solid. I usually have to crank the
Tone on Tube Screamers to get the sound that I'm looking for.

The next is a custom-made amplifier, it comes with a standard tune system and only has one
input jack.

The Ibanez Gio is an electric guitar that is perfect for all kinds of genres and is great for
someone who likes simplicity. The quality of this guitar is quite good at a reasonable price. Over
time, you will feel the pleasure and satisfaction of playing your own guitar.
