Europe here we

come!
‘I’m really excited about my trip to Europe. I (1) 
(not travel) much outside Australia before. Just once, two
years ago when I (2)  (go) on holiday to Bali with
my family, but I (3)  (never be) to Europe or the
US. I often (4)  (travel) inside Australia. Last year,
I (5)  (fly) to Perth to visit my cousin, who
(6)  (live) there. It’s a five-hour flight from Sydney,
where I (7)  (live). Australia’s a big country! Also,
I (8)  (be) up to Cairns in the north three times. I
(9)  (learn) to scuba dive there on the Great Barrier
Reef.

We (10)  (just finish) packing. The taxi

(11)  (not arrive yet). We (12)  (wait) for
it to take us to the airport. I (13)  (never fly) on a
747 before. It’s a very long flight. It (14)  (take) 20
hours to get to Rome, but I (15)  (not sleep) on the
journey – I (16)  (watch) films all the way. It’s so
exciting! I can’t wait!’
