TITLE OF YOUR POSITION PAPER

The Philippine central bank has approved rules that will strengthen banks as financial frauds surge during
the pandemic. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas stated in a statement that banks and financial institutions
must implement a risk-focused screening process that takes into account the sensitivities of holdings that
may necessitate strict measures. It said that a candidate's background and character, conflicts of interest,
and "propensity to perpetrate fraud or irregularity" must be adequately understood, and that central bank
information should be utilized in the screening process. In November, the Philippines reported an increase
in financial frauds as internet platforms were more commonly utilized during the coronavirus pandemic.
The conventional strategy of the government to tackling welfare issues such as poverty and inequality is
addressed through targeted programs centered on the development of citizens' skills. It is primarily viewed
