Formal Invitation

Formal invitations are invitations that are formal and


official. Formal invitations are made in the form of
writing and a more polite style of language. These
invitations are usually given for formal, important, or
large-scale events that include more people.
1) Recipient/To: Name of the person
addressed/invited
2) Invitation body/invitation body: The contents of
the invitation usually consist of the following:
• Subject: Event Name
• Day or Date: Day and date
• Time: Set time
• Venue: The place where the event is held
3) Sender/from: The person who sent the invitation
Purpose of Formal Invitation

The communicative purpose of formal


Example:
invitation whether contextual (text) or audio-
visual (dialogue / expression) , is to invite or
invite someone to attend a certain event in an
official of formal situation. Therefor, this type
of invitation text is called a
Formal Invitation.
