Policy On Academic Integrity in Online Learning - Wconforme
1. Using a MyMapua email address other than one’s own to login to any platform such
as but not limited to BlackBoard and Coursera;
2. Outsourcing, asking, or hiring someone else to take an online exam, complete a
homework, take a Coursera course, or write a paper in place of oneself, except for
assignments and activities that explicitly permit collaboration;
3. Recording, saving, distributing or receiving a copy of test questions, answers, or
answer keys to an online quiz or test from someone who has already taken it;
4. Plagiarizing or the unethical act of claiming or presenting as one’s own the ideas and
works of others by failing to provide proper citation of references or acknowledgment
of the author/s, or by copying from another student’s work with or without consent,
and submitting it as one’s own work;
5. Committing, participating in, or allowing others to commit massive, pre-meditated,
organized online cheating using instant messaging, emailing, or similar acts during a
quiz or an examination;
6. Dishonesty in peer-reviewed assignments/submissions (e.g. Coursera peer-graded
submissions);
7. Engaging in any dishonest act to improve one’s scores or grades or that of another, or
to adversely affect the scores or grades of another.
Any of the following sanctions may be imposed upon a student who is found guilty of
committing academic dishonesty in online learning:
a. Suspension for a period of less than one term, with or without community service;
b. Suspension for a period of one term or more, with or without community service;
c. Non-readmission to the University;
d. Dismissal from the University;
e. Expulsion
