Dear Sir,

I am writing with reference to the article entitled „It’s a student’s life” which appeared in the
magazine. My friend convinced me to write to you about my dissapointment in regard to your
sayings.

Firstly, I have the belief that we are extremely hardworking and seeing that so many people
think that we are lazy makes me sad. Some people didn’t understand yet that you must work smart
and efficient, because it will take less time, than working more than anyone, but not choosing a
smart approach for the problem in cause. Our academic accomplishments prove wrong to all those
people that believe that we don’t spend time studying.

Secondly, people think that we all are born rich and we only consume resources and not give
anything back. They assume that we haven’t worked a day in our life and got everything we have on
a plate which is such a false statement. We work very hard and we actually value other people’s work
and not judge them.

Finally, the article said that we don’t know that the real meaning of the word „work” and
„stress” is. Us, like students, are required to learn at every subject and be very good at each and
every one of them. The teachers are asked to learn only one subject in years of hardwork and they
believe that we can learn all of them in a very short time. They don’t take into consideration the
amount of homeworks we have, the stress we face, the inability to have free time and build
friendships and actually live our best and most beautiful years. Kids nowdays actually face more
stress than any other generation and they have to put up with life and become mature so much
faster than the older generations had to.

To conclude, after all things that have been said, I believe that you revised the article and
changed your opinion, and I hope that people will stop judging a book by it’s cover. Things have
changed, so did the education system, the way kids are educated at home and at school and we have
to take all of this in consideration.

Yours respectfully, Delia Coclici.
