The next day, the park opened to the general public and its creator went to work. Walt Disney lived and slept there, making changes, fixing bugs, and his efforts soon paid off. In seven weeks the park received a million visitors and by the end of the year it already added another 3.8 million. He is credited with having "redefined the concept of family vacations."
