These are designed to be easy, fun, and interactive for
kindergarten students.
I have a class pocket chart poem included, a poem for a small
center pocket chart, a individual poem for the students to glue
into their poetry folders, and a mini-reader for the students to
read during their read to self time.
 Interactive Poems
Day 1: Read poem whole group a few times while pointing to the
print.
Day 2: Students echo read, and start practicing reading in
poetry center during center time.
Day 3: Read poem whole group and hand out mini-readers to
read all together.
Day 4: Students read mini-readers with a buddy. Read large
poem whole group and students echo read.
Day 5: Teacher models how to glue and illustrate poems.
Students glue poems into their poetry journals and draw an
illustration that matches. The students re-read all their
previous poems as well.
