• Career Plan

Chevening is looking for individuals who have a clear post-study career plan. Please outline your
immediate plans upon returning home and your longer term career goals. You may wish to
consider how these relate to what the UK government is doing in your country. (minimum word
count: 100 words, maximum word count: 500 words)

It is a dream of any architecture student to have an office of their own. In my case, I am

developing my business idea with a partner who is familiar with marketing and business
development. A career plan is an extensive base for me to step on toward my future goal. Every
big dream starts with a single step. My short-term career plan will lead to a mid-term goal that will
furtherly reach my future goal.

After graduating from my master's study in the UK, I plan to return to my country and take my
business concept to the next level. Since I have already started the thinking process, by the
completion of my study, my business concept will have already gone through a lot of reviews. For
the next step, my partner and I will search for investors who are interested in our idea. In the
following year, we will have already started to sell either our product or our concept.

In three to four years after my master's study, I will grow my business into a company that can
provide jobs for many people. My networking from local and international that I gained from being
part of the Chevening community will be advantageous to acquire customers. After the company
gets bigger, it will have a lot of collaborations with the local government and other companies to
contribute to society.

My long-term goal is to be able to educate young potential leaders of Indonesia and build a school
for unfortunate children. As I have many peers that have the same vision as me in building school,
I will reach out to them and work together to realize our dream. I will leverage my expertise and
skills in my capacity as a sustainable architectural designer.

High dreams that are out of reach will surely be achieved by stacking stairs step by step. This
career plan has a significant role in my contribution to my country. The Chevening will not merely
be my financial aid for my master's study in the UK; it will also expand my networking threads to
an international basis.
