Grameen Bank Limited is a microfinance organization and community development bank

founded in Bangladesh. The Grameen Bank is a self-sustainable microcredit institution that
helps to alleviate poverty by offering small loans to the poorest people in Bangladesh. The
Bank aids poverty reduction by targeting villagers who are victims of debt cycles created by
village loan sharks and overlooked by commercial lenders. However, village loan sharks are
only one of Bangladesh’s underlying causes of poverty that include:
 Natural disasters – earthquakes, typhoons and cyclones regularly occur.
 Ineffective and corrupt governance
 Lack of infrastructure, education and health programs.
The main objective of Grameen Bank is by providing Comprehensive Financial Services,
Empowering the poor to realize their potential and break out of the vicious cycle of poverty.
The broad objective of the study is analyzing the “Social Business Activities of Grameen
bank”. The Social Business Activities of Grameen Bank has two types of present day world:
1 “Companies that focus on providing a social benefit rather than on maximizing profit
for the owners,
2 Profit- maximizing businesses that are owned by the poor or disadvantaged
Grameen Bank, s several branches, does these social business activities vastly. I
mention the overall operating procedure of social activities of Grameen Bank Limited.
I also mention the findings of my report and describe the recommendation to
overcome the limitation.
I have taken all the reasonable care to ensure the accuracy & quality to make the report
standard. And I believe that it has included all the necessary information to be relevant.
