Santa Marta city by Andrés López

I want to talk about the city of Santa Marta. It is located in the north of Colombia, in front of the
Atlantic coast, so it has a warm climate, but it has a special characteristic that other coastal cities do
not have, it has high mountains known behind, called Sierra Nevada, it offers a cool breeze all days,
so it doesn't feel so hot. In the city you can enjoy historical places, shopping centers and many
beaches, such as El Rodadero, Playa Blanca or Pozos Colorados. You can also enjoy the aquarium
where you can even swim with dolphins. There is a very special and beautiful place nearby that you
cannot miss, the Tayrona natural park, which you can reach by boat or by car. There you will be able
to know some of the best beaches in Colombia, such as Playa Cristal, Cinto or Cabo San Juan, and
you will be able to practice scuba diving or diving, and thus enjoy the beautiful underwater nature,
such as corals and many types of animals. Something that you could find and enjoy, would be to see
a whale shark, it would be a magnificent experience. Finally, it is important to keep in mind that in
almost all beaches you can find places to buy food but you can bring your own food, so please always
pickup your garbage and throw it in the right places, do not throw garbage. Do not forget to ask the
price before eating or drinking in a restaurant.
