2nd Onchan Scout Group

GRAND DAY OUT – SUNDAY 18 OCTOBER

Dear Members, Parents & Guardians,

Manx Scouts are organising a Grand Day Out for all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and
Leaders on Sunday 18 October at the NSC. This will be an opportunity for us all to get
together, have some fun and celebrate Scouting post lockdown

Those wishing to attend should be dropped off at the NSC main sports hall for 10.00am
and check in with their Leader.

Each section will take part in a variety of different activities during the day, some indoors,
some outdoors, and the day will finish with a short closing ceremony which friends and
family are invited to attend. This will take place at the NSC grandstand, between 3.30pm
and 4.00pm. If it is very wet it will take place in the main sports hall instead.

Members will need to bring with them a drinks bottle and packed lunch, a waterproof coat
and should wear their uniform and trainers. Please make sure that all of these items are
named. The cost of the day is being covered by the Scout Association Isle of Man, and so
there is no charge for the day.

The event will finish at 4.00pm and members can be collected from the NSC outside
grandstand unless wet in which case we will be inside.

If your child would like to take part in this event, please return the permission slip below to
your child’s section leader by Friday 9 October.
