Resource Management

Resource is nothing but a piece of machinery or a worker

We need to assign the resource to various orders, suppose in our WH we are doing put away, we need
to assign the resource.

Q) How we assign this resource for our various activities?

Ans) some set of work is defined through queue, these queues can be determined automatically through
our warehouse orders, Ex:- for put away, for picking, physical inventory queue can be determined Etc…

Q) How the queue can be determined?

Ans) Here there are 5 control parameters to determine the queues,

1) Source activity area for picking activity, from where we are picking the product that represent
activity area, against that one queue can be determined.
2) Destination activity area:- During the putaway we keep some products in some setup storage
bins that is in acti0vity area.
3) Bin access type:- h00ow we are going to access those bins, if it’s a plastic bins than manually we
use to keep the product . If this a big racks we use fork lift.
4) Warehouse process type:- it’s a control parameter for activity (there we have source and
destination storage bins)
5) Activity :-

Normally these queues we execute in desktop environment (Desktop or laptop) or else RF environment.

 Our resources can fall below the resources type

 Fork lift is one resource type and worker is other type of resource type
 We are bringing various resources from different resources types and grouping together in the
form of resource group.
 The resource group we are assigning these queues and you know the queues can be determine
through 5 control parameters.

Resource Type

 According to the resource type we are using HU type group. Ex: Carton box, Pallet.
 Resource type human can access the carton box but not pallet.
 There for with reference to resource type one resource can able to access the storage bin.
Here the type of queues are been determined
NEXT :-
We have created 3 queues

Next
We have maintained 3 parameters

Once after we maintain the criteria we maintain the access sequence. Without access sequence it is not
possible.

TEST CASE :-

1) PO
2) IDN In EWM
3) You will see queue will be determined when creating WH Order.
4) This queue will be assigned to warehouse order.

Every physical inventory generate one warehouse order batch

Say for example one new product is there we try to create an ad-hoc physical inventory for that
Go to monitor

We are triggering add-hoc physical inventory for that

Enter and execute
Go to references you will see one Document is created which is the warehouse order.
We cannot find any warehouse task within it

Now Go to Monitor

You will see internal queue is also assigned for it.

If you click on warehouse task nothing will be there

If you click on physical inventory there will be PI document bellow

So each physical inventory document one warehouse order can be created.
We execute that warehouse order through RF device.
Where we maintain the resources and ETC??
Here 2 things are there resource type and resource group

Resource type:- it is for deciding what kind of HU type groups you are using with that resource
type and what kind of bin access type you are going to use.

Where we maintain the resource type?

Bin Access type we can maintain at master data
Click on @Define Resource Types.

We assign the bin access type

Similarly we do it for other resource

That means the resource and perform its respective activity for the maintained HU type group.
NEXT
We maintain resource Group here

Interleaving is used to prevent ideally coming of resource
