How significant is Lorentz transformation in the study of modern physics?

The basic idea behind Lorentz transformation was to get form invariance of space-time
laws of physics when transformed from one frame of reference to another moving with
constant velocity v.
In simple worlds, what happens to laws of physics when transformed under Lorentz
transformation. It resulted length contraction and time dilation.
In what way can you benefit from this as science student and a future educator?
As a science student it helps us to understand high-speed phenomena approaching the
speed of light by formally expressing the relativity concepts that space and time are not
absolute. whereas length, time, and mass depend on the relative motion of the observer, and
that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant and independent of the motion of the observer
or the source.
