DEGREE OF MICROMANAGEMENT:
Micromanagement would be avoided as much as it can because research shows that
micromanaging every detail of an assignment can reduce the productivity of the work group and
also the company's income.

If the project has stiff deadlines than micromanagement would be employed at some level in
order to provide guidance to the employees, especially if they need training in a specialized skill
or lack the experience needed for some assignments

For other tasks freedom would be given to employees as micromanaging every task can become
a negative force in the business especially when we manage projects too closely. Asking for
frequent updates and directing each task for every employee, when there is no reason to do so,
can cause distractions and work stoppages for the team.
THEORY X AND Y COMBINATION:
It is only natural that the company will have employees of both types. For the people belonging to
the Y combination the company will continue the same policy that is ongoing as the motivation
level of these people is already high and they are performing well.

For the people with low motivation levels i.e the X combination rewards will be more effective
than punishments And the inverse is true when trying to deter people from acting (for example,
discouraging people from sharing privileged information or using the organization’s resources for
private purposes) — in this case, punishments would be more effective.

AUTOCRATIC VS DEMOCRATIC:
Autocratic for Theory X combination and Democratic for Theory Y combination

Soft Building blocks:
Culture:
To tackle this complexity and optimize chances for a successful cloud transition, TCS need to include

their employees and tap into their experiences – both personal and professional. This can be achieved

by starting with three key considerations.

1. Communicate how cloud will improve processes

2. Build a team to champion cloud strategy

3. Design the best platform to support employee workflows

Knowledge:
Business planning, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, delegation, and time

management.

Knowledge on Programming, cloud security, artificial intelligence, networking, and database

management. Linux, automation, DevOps, APIs and web services, and data analytics.
TCS cloud solution Expertise
Value Expertise in planning, design, maintenance,

management, and support.

A cloud expert is expected to have good

knowledge in various cloud services.

Ideology:

“On-demand availability”, “As a service”

and “Pay for the usage”.
System
Business Models: how are these structure and individual components are going together.
S O P
Scope:
Not every cloud instance will fit the definition of a cloud asset. A cloud instance will
be considered a cloud asset based on risk and volatility.
the following cloud instances fit into the following categories

Roles and Responsibilities:

The different types of involvement are:
Responsible: The roles that are the process practitioners and execute the process.
Accountable: The role that owns the process’ performance, progress, quality, and output.
Consulted: Roles from whom the people executing the process seek opinion, knowledge, and information.
Informed: The roles that are kept up to date on the progress, performance, and quality of the process.
Asset Handling Practices
The cloud asset manager will:

Develop these practices in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

Develop templates that help enable developers and infrastructure personnel to comply with these standards.

Review licensing to identify opportunities for optimization and to ensure compliance with security and

continuity requirements.

High-Volatility Cloud Assets:

On a monthly basis, review their utilization (storage, compute, and bandwidth) and determine if there is an

opportunity to optimize spend.

Create an alert for each instance that will notify the IT asset manager if spend passes a certain threshold.

Low-Volatility Cloud Assets:

On a semi-annual basis, review their utilization (storage, compute, and bandwidth) and determine if there is

an opportunity to optimize spend.

Create an alert for each instance that will notify the IT asset manager if spend passes a certain threshold.
T racked Instances:
Create an alert for each instance that will notify the IT asset manager if spend passes a certain threshold.

Review their utilization (storage, compute, and bandwidth) on a quarterly basis to determine if there is an opportunity to optimize

spend.

If these instances start to become too volatile, re-categorize them to cloud assets.

Test and Developer Instances:

Create an alert for each instance that will notify the IT asset manager if spend passes a certain threshold.

Set these instances to automatically quiesce after 30 days.

Set the expectation that these instances should be quiesced after they are no longer needed.

Asset Standards
The cloud asset manager will:

Produce a checklist to aid personnel with instance creation.

Develop these standards in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

All cloud assets and tracked instances will be centrally managed by IT.

Track software assets within the cloud instance, Manage releases and patches to the instance and Manage security settings

on the instance.

Data will be secured, replicated, and archived in accordance with data security and system continuity standards and policies.

All test and developer environments must be set to automatically quiesce after 30 days (or sooner).

MIS SOLUTIONS
TCS will obtain their MISs, by either purchasing ready-made packages or by bespoke

development, and exploring the alternative offered by open systems.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and their relationship with Integrated

Business Processes

The company will propose a cloud computing-based management information system

(CMiS). CMiS will reduce the overhead of the implementing organization. CMiS

representational state transfer (REST) architecture will provide better support,

especially for distributed systems and increase the capability and flexibility of the

proposed system.

CMiS is capable of handling various management related activities, provides accurate

information to all levels of management in an organization. It also analyses various

data and produces automatically generated reports.

MIS must be relevant, accurate, complete and atomic in nature. CMiS has three modules, namely:

(i) data source module,

(ii) data warehouse module and

(iii) analysis module.

Data sources can be of two types internal data source and external data source.

Data warehouse module is the basis of CMiS. The design and architecture of the data warehouse depend

upon the requirement of the implementing organization.

Data Analysis module acts as the backbone of the proposed system. It provides the interface by which

users can interact with the system. This component has three sub-modules: (a) data analysis module; (b)

interface module and (c) maintenance module.

CMiS will be based on hybrid cloud computing architecture. The analysis module of CMiS is implemented

and maintained by the user.
