Activity 1:

1. In 200 words or more, explain exhaustively how to determine whether a historical narrative
is true or the closest to the truth (60 points)

Historical narrative is writing a story based on history or a historical people, situations, or


things that has been existed in the past that will orient life in time in a way which discuss
upon past existence a possible future perspective. There are a lot of sources or ways how to
determine if the historical narrative is true or closest to the truth. First is through the historian
works, historians is a great researchers because they have methodology or rules to follow, a
lot of reliable evidence that they can used to defend it, and great in interpretation about the
topic that making the piece accurate and influence more people to believe. Second is check
the historical sources, if the sources is a secondary sources you may look a more reliable
evidence that has connection for that cases happened in the past but if primary sources look
for an strong evidence that is near happened in our history. Lastly is knowing if the narrative
is checked with different scientific methods and make it sure the sources is true by gather all
the strong evidence. Read and research more other sources about the subject to confirm if the
narrative is accurate.

2. In 100 words, explain why we need to be rigorous in doing research regarding history. (30
points)

Research in history is about developing an knowledge of the past through the investigation
and interpretation of evidence. Its important in doing research to be a rigorous about history is
because by this readings, this is the way that will help us to understand what has been through
in our history. Being a rigorous researches can provide an accurate reading and strong
evidence about our history especially for the future readers and researches so that there will
be no false information. It can also influence a lot of people to read and study in our history
when the author is a trustworthy with there works.
