Science and technology have changed and developed a lot in the 20th and 21st centuries. You can find
technological inventions of the modern world in different areas of your life.

First of all, I’d like to say something about the transport. Nowadays it is ordinary to use a car, a bus or a
plane. These kind of transports make our life faster and more comfortable. It is also gives an opportunity to
get to further places in less time. On the other hand, there’s lots of air pollution due to exhaust gases from
vehicles. So it is better to use public transport. There is a new technological invention of cars in which cars
use electricity instead of fuel.

Household appliances or gadgets have changed a lot as well. There are plenty of new technologies inside
and outside the house. Outside we can use lawn mower to cut the grass, or we can use chainsaw to cut wood.
Inside the house we can use a lot of appliances that help us with the housework and make it quicker and
easier to prepare food, for example if we want to make a cream soup we need to use a liquidizer, or if we
buy some cold food, we have to take them to the deep freezer or the fridge. We can also use an iron, a
washing machine, a vacuum cleaner, a microwave oven or a coffee maker and so on. These appliances make
our life easier and faster, but they use a lot of electricity.

As for entertainment, it is going through changes nowadays as well. We can use TVs, radios, PlayStation 4s,
Xbox Ones, iPods, Bluetooth speakers and so on. I love Bluetooth speakers, because one of my favourite
activities is listening to music, and with these appliances it is more enjoyable and easier.

We can use telephone, mobile phone, computer, internet, fax machine, answering machine to communicate
with each other. I prefer using mobile phones and the internet, because I think these are the easiest ways to
get and keep in touch with our relatives and friends.

The other invention that we can’t do without any more is the computer. It is used in our everyday lives, for
example, in shops, banks, post offices, offices. You can use it for lots of different things at home too.
Besides word processing programmes like Word and Excel, the internet is the most popular service. As for
me I use it every day and I think it is the best technological invention. Using the internet has a lot of
advantages and disadvantages. We can search for plenty of information and we can keep in touch with our
family members and friends on Facebook, twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Viber, e-mail and so on. We can
play on it, and use it for almost everything. You can listen to music, watch films, do online shopping, and
bank transfer. We can also look for job advertisements. On the other hand, we can get viruses and spams.
We can also get addicted to it.
