ACTIVITY 2

Amidst the global pandemic, how can Technical Writing be useful in your current course and also to the
field it is directly connected to? Explain your answer thoroughly.

Technical writing has provided me with numerous substantial benefits. It will be able to communicate
their ideas to persuade and inform individuals who will be a part of my professional writing because it
helps in my field of social sciences. The current world is very competitive since there are many bright
ideas in people's heads; nevertheless, a lack of technical writing abilities can be a major hurdle when
there is a need to communicate with other people of interest such as writing, creating a speech, and
other writing purposes.

In the midst of a global pandemic, technical writing aids in communicating and transmitting one's ideas,
points of view, observations, directions, and suggestions in a more logical and technical manner.
Technical writing in English, as part of my Bachelor of Science in Psychology curriculum, necessitates the
use of particular, structured, and specified sets of language. Professionals in my field of Psychology must
have high technical writing abilities in order to prepare reports, presentations, documentation, conduct
research, and so on. Because technical writing is employed for a specific reason, it must be exact,
relevant, and free of redundancy. It will be beneficial to me both now and in the future since I will apply
it to my studies, and as a professional, I will use my understanding of technical writing to apply it as a
psychologist.

In my field of psychology, data must frequently be recorded, which means it must be written down. It is
still written to document data from participants and their reactions to various variables, whether it is on
pen and paper, Excel, SPSS, or other data collection tools. Technical writing will apply since the
information must be true, the vocabulary must be specialist, and the organization must be systematic.
That is why this course has helped me a lot in learning how to present precise information based on
facts that is relevant to my profession.
