What is a field study?

Field Study A field study is a general method for collecting data about users, user needs,
and product requirements that involves observation and interviewing. Data are collected
about task flows, inefficiencies, and the organizational and physical environments of
users.

What is field study important for teachers?

Teachers also benefit from field studies. The excursions add new dimensions to
education through “teachable moments” that seldom occur in the classroom. The
important factors for a teacher are pre-trip orientation and site visits before the trip.

Why is service learning important in the community?

For starters, service-learning is important because it connects student learning in the
classroom with real-world experiences in the community. Students who participate in it
are more deeply engaged in their local communities, gain practical skills, develop their
career and personal interests, and are usually more engaged citizens.

If you will become a teacher in an institution, do you think parents’

involvement in school matters?
If I become a teacher in an institution I think parents have involvement in school matters
because Parent involvement in schools is the first step to parent engagement and,
ultimately, parent partnership. When parents and teachers work together to
establish a thriving classroom, the effect on their students is profound.

How are you going to handle rude, impolite, and discourteous parents in
the school?
As a teacher, I will make sure that parents understand that, as the child’s teacher I like to
see my student do better and I am sure that that’s the same thing you want to see as a
parent and I will be clear that my role is to punish the child at the end of the year for not
studying, not handing in work, or being absent. My role is to figure out how their child will
be more successful in the future.
