１） Phenomenon of problem

The following problems have been reported on the current software (SYS 01.04) and the improved software
will be released by the end of September.

- In the following 180W-165W area (1) in the Pacific Ocean, the receiving signal is lost or dropped, and
users can not use the terminal. In that area, JUE-250 Handset displays only 98W satellite
(I-4 America) as the selectable satellite even though 143.5E satellite (I-4 Asia-Pacific) has to be displayed.
Also, in that area, the terminal does not become the ready for the communication. However, if the terminal
comes off from that area, it becomes the ready for the communication.

- When PIN authentication in SIM card is enabled, the terminal can not register to the network, and Handset
indefinitely displays "REGISTRATION" status in the footer, and users are not possible to use the terminal. When
the PIN authentication is enabled once, the terminal is not possible to disable it. Therefore, in the current
software version (SYS 01.04), you MUST NOT enable PIN authentication. If by any chance the PIN
authentication is enabled, you should request the service provider to change SIM card or to disable PIN
authentication, or you might be able to disable PIN authentication by the mobile phone, but the particular mobile
phone is not possible to disable it.

- After the antenna blocking is cleared, users are not possible to use Fleet Bload Band services sometimes.

２） Information or countermeasures

The improved new software will be released by end of September.

After the release, it will be uploaded to the Inmarsat Home page, and it will be able to be downloaded.
