MICROTEACHING REFLECTION

“To know how to suggest is the art of teaching.” (Frederic, 1864).

When it comes to the teaching-process a lot of obstacles can be found, taking into
account that during this process, educators face a constantly changing
environment, one that is shaped by emerging trends, fiscal challenges and
organizational pressures.

Based on our microteaching experience we can say that being a teacher implies
knowing how to handle every type of situation with students as you can prepare a
very organized class but maybe on the process something unexpected happens
and the plan needs to be changed.

During this experience, we realize that planning a class can be the easiest part,
considering that the reality when you get to a classroom is the really challenging
part which demands your best effort, a lot of patience and a lot of love for the
things you are doing with the students.

Along this way, we can say that being an effective teacher is not just a practice that
requires intelligence and many years of scholarly study and work. This
effectiveness is achieved through much trial and error. Maybe, this time wasn’t the
best experience at all but there is always something new to learn and to get the
best out of it.
